Summary Description
When copying one or multiple provisions, including in Definitions, of an SI\SSI created it in Word, Lawmaker also needs to ‘paste’ the footnote contained within the provisions.
Background
Both UK and Scottish Government use Private Law firms and others to draft SIs and these are generally done in Word. Drafters need to be able copy whole or multiple provisions into Lawmaker, while retaining the formatting. However, if the provision(s) they are copying contains one or more footnotes, Smart Paste (Ctrl V) will either ignore the footnote, or if at the end of a definition, will create a new paragraph(1), after the definition.
Attached is an Word example of a Scottish Harbour Order, which can be used to create the issue and/or for testing purposes.
