Hints and Tips

When you are in a List of Draft Amendments (LoDA) and you have inserted a new amendment after an existing amendment which had a proposer specified – the newly inserted amendment will only copy the proposer from the previous amendment.  It will not copy the supporters if the previous amendment had supporters as well.

the system will automatically populate the text “Supported by:” if you add supporters to an amendment

Proposers and supporters should only be added/updated using the dialogue box as this will ensure Members’ IDs taken from Parliament’s data is correctly captured in the amendment XML – useful for downstream applications consuming the amendment data.

It is possible to change the order of supporters in an amendment by clicking on a supporter name and dragging it to the new location in the list of supporter names

If you want to add proposers (including supporters) to ping pong amendments, these elements don't start by default with 'Proposer' elements.  You will need to use the right-click approach (1b in the steps above) to access the 'Manage Members' dialogue box).
