Introduction

You have the option to fold/unfold (collapse/expand) provisions in the Editor which can make it easier to work on specific provisions without being distracted by others.  It also has performance gains, if a document is bigger than a certain size, when it is opened - all foldable provisions will be presented in folded state.

How to fold/unfold a provision

  1. Place cursor in the provision that you want to fold/unfold and either:
    1. Right-click and select ‘Folding... /Toggle Fold’ from the context menu, or
    2. Click on the triangle icon button in the left margin alongside your provision's number (or heading if it is a cross heading)
  2. The system will fold/unfold the selected provision

How to unfold all provisions

Not recommended in large documents if it can be avoided

  1. Place cursor anywhere in the Editor and right-click
  2. Select ‘Folding... / Expand All’ from the context menu
  3. The system will unfold all provisions in the Editor

How to fold all other provisions

  1. Place cursor in the provision you want to remain unfolded and right-click
  2. Select ‘Folding... / Collapse Other Folds’ from the context menu
  3. The system will fold all provisions in the Editor, apart from the one where you cursor is placed

How to fold all other provisions

E.g. if you want to fold all sections within a chapter; or all cross headings within a part etc.

  1. Place your cursor in an element within one of the foldable higher level provisions (e.g. part, chapter, cross heading, schedule or schedule part) that contains foldable child provisions right-click
  2. Select ‘Folding... / Collapse Child Folds’ from the context menu
  3. The system will fold all foldable child provisions in the Editor, within the provision that your cursor is placed
