Other Bugs/Issues

  1. Snapshots on the project tab and amendment list tabs. The list of snapshots under amendment lists does not refresh when you generate a PDF from within the Editor (this is existing behaviour but may need to be refined in future).

  2. Proceedings document. Updating a Commons Proceedings document will re-add all the amendments with outcomes to the list, duplicating them. I’m not sure if this is expected - Ximena in PPU mentioned it to me in May/June. See This may be expected behaviour, but see the page in the user manual on proceedingsProceedings, which suggests you can “build up a running Proceedings document if you prefer” by re-running the ‘update list’ action each day: House of Commons amendment list logic - I need to check this.) Those steps actually cause amendments to be duplicated, so we should revisit the desired behaviour here, or update the user manual.

  3. Unhelpful error message when attempting to publish an amendment list which has been changed. This is not a bug - in fact I think it’s expected behaviour. ( It’s also not connected to v17. ) I was unable to publish a Lords daily sheet . The error message is a generic ‘nullPointerException’. This is easily reproduced by after creating an official list, generating a PDF snapshot, deleting an amendment from the list, then attempting to publish the PDF. The error message was a generic ‘nullPointerException’. Regenerating the PDF and publishing it again solves the issue. This must happen happens because the system is blocking publication of an out-of-date PDF which doesn’t match the amendment list, but we may want to should improve the error message here.
