Introduction

It is possible to select one or more amendments to open in the Editor to allow you to view or edit amendments depending on your permissions. 

How to move amendments (or pp motions) to a different stage from the Amendment Manager

Select move amendments to a different stage (and to be associated with a different Bill version). This can be done from the Amendment Manager or to all amendments in a list on the Amendment Workspace. 

Moving one or more amendments or motions in the Amendment Manager

  1. On the Amendment Manager tab, select one or more amendments using the check boxes to the left of the amendments

  2. Select Amendment Actions>Move to a different stage

  2. Update the required stage and/or bill version in the dialogue box.

Moving all amendments or motions on a LoDA

  1. On the Amendment Workspace Tab, select Actions>Move to a different stage

Select "Move to a different stage" from the 'Action' drop-down menu

  2. Update the required stage and/or bill version in the dialogue box.

The LoDA and all amendments in the list will be updated with the new stage/bill version.

Hints and tips

  • You cannot move an amendment if it is locked to another user for editing.

  • You cannot move an amendment if you do not have edit rights to update the amendment.

  • You can move an amendment to another stage when it is at any state (e.g. Draft, Submitted, Tabled etc.).  If you had an amendment that had been tabled in one stage and went through the Parliamentary process and the same amendment was tabled again at a later stage, it would be better to copy and paste that amendment into a LoDA for the new stage rather than move it as moving an amendment to another stage does not clear out it's lifecycle information (date that it was submitted, tabled etc.).
