Summary of feature request

Following the publishing of an amendment list, display a message confirming how many amendments were successfully saved to the PDR and list any amendments, by amendment number that were not successfully saved.

The message should be manually closed.

Original User Description

Background

The ‘publish’ process for amendment lists is taking quite a long time - at least 20 mins for amendment lists containing over 100 amendments. Publish is usually the last thing that users in the Lords have to do before they go home so what they do currently is publish the list then log off and go home, before the publish has completed in Lawmaker. They know that publish is still working in the backend.

However, this business process means that if an amendment isn’t published on the PDR, they do not know about it until they do a manual comparison of the website vs the published list. They have someone in the office doing this currently and they have spotted a handful of occassions (maybe 4?) when this has happened.

Requirement

An alternative way of reporting when amendments failed to be published on the PDR. Not sure if this should be a requirement for LegHub or for Lawmaker. Maybe one to raise in the next Lawmaker-LegHub meeting?

Additionally, if the performance work means that ‘publish’ only takes a couple of minutes, it might be acceptable for users to stick around until they have confirmation the list has been published to the PDR.
