Introduction

If you have made changes to an amendment in a bill e.g. changed the supporters, adding added explanatory statements, withdrawn or recorded an outcome, then you will need to republish the amendments so that the website is updated with the recent changes.

This is a 2 stage process.

  • The first stage is making the change in Lawmaker and republishing the updated amendments.

  • The second stage

Hints and tips

  • You can use the quick filters at the top of the page to help you or use the advanced search at the side of the amendment table

  • You can publish an amendment at any stage using this method

  • There are fewer checks when publishing from the Amendment Manager which is why Lawmaker doesn’t have a publishing confirmation dialog box like it does for publishing amendment lists:

    • As the amendment’s lifecycle events are not updated when publishing from the Amendment Manager, there is no need to check for locks on the selected amendments;

    • Lawmaker does not check for flagged amendments as you would have seen them when selecting the amendments on the Amendment Manager; and

    • Lawmaker does not restrict what state an amendment must be before you can publish it so the state check is irrelevant.
