Hello
I have a query about adjacent quoted structures.
In one of my SIs (The Social Security (Income and Capital Disregards) (Amendment) Regulations 2023) I have various provisions which say "in provision X, insert in the relevant places" and then list various definitions. I've used the insert adjacent quoted structure for this.
However, there's no option to insert a semi-colon outside the quotation marks for each of the inserted definitions. I wondered if this is because, from what I can see, Bills don't include any punctuation between inserted definitions in these circumstances. For some reason though, it's standard practice to include them in SIs.
I think that what we need for SI purposes is for the "following text" option to come up when inserting an adjacent quoted structure.
My SI is due to be signed at the end of the week. I expect that it may not be possible to resolve the issue by then, but if you have any ideas I'd be super grateful for them.
Thanks very much
Rosie
