In SI/SSIs, Lawmaker only allows for section headings (Centred, Italic) to be created within Parts or Chapters. This page provides instructions on how to create a heading without a Part or Chapter number. It also provides instructions on how to create unnumbered lists, which may come after the heading, as shown below.

Section Headings

If your SI/SSI, already contains provisions (regulations, articles), wrap them into a part

If you do not have any provisions, select ‘Part’ from the Content Completion Assistant (CCA)

If you want the section heading to appear after the schedule, create the schedule as normal, and then select Sch Part from the CCA

Place your cursor in the Part Heading but leave it empty and press return on your keyboard

Select Section or Sch Section from the CCA

Type your heading into the placeholder

Press enter and select the desired element from the CCA. To create the list shown above, select Schedule Paragraph

Create the List

Place your cursor in the first paragraph number and delete the number and full-stop.

Press Alt L to Lock the num element. This will stop Lawmaker from re-inserting the numbers if you renumber the whole document.

Press the Tab key on your keyboard and type in your first item

Press enter twice on your keyboard to create the next item, and repeat for as many items as you need.

To create another section, press enter and select Section or Sch Section.

Follow the above instructions remembering to Lock the first number in the section.
