Introduction
The amendment lists use automated rules to determine which amendments should appear in which list. Sometimes an incorrect status may have been recorded against an amendment which means the amendment will no longer appear in the expected list. We’ve built a function that will allow Parliament users to get around this issue but it should be used with caution.
How to update an amendment status
- Open the amendment in the Editor by selecting it from the list on the ‘Amendment Manager’ tab and clicking on the 'Amendment Action' drop-down menu in the top right of the page and selecting 'Create temporary list'
- Place your cursor in the amendment in the list and click on the “Amendment Status” panel in the right-hand panel in the Editor
- Click on the “Manage lifecycle event” link
- The system will present a dialogue box listing all the recorded ‘events’ or statuses linked to the amendment.
- You can add, delete or update any of these events
- When you have finished making the changes, click on the Update button
- When you return to the Editor View, click on the Save button in the upper tool bar
Hints and tips
- If an amendment has been published on a list, there will be a link available to click on which will open that list so that you can view the amendment on it – there may be more than one list that an amendment is published on e.g. Daily List, another Daily List (if an amendment to it was lodged), 1st Marshalled List, 2nd Marshalled List and associated Grouping Lists.
