Groupings List
Purpose of the list
The Groupings List sets out the order in which the amendments tabled to a bill will be debated. It is produced alongside the Marshalled List.
Amendments are grouped according to subject matter. The list begins with a summary of the groupings and the numbers of the amendments included in each group, then reproduces the amendments in full, in debating order. It does not include amendments which have already been debated.

Content
Amendments are included on the groupings list by creating a blank Groupings List, then (in the Editor) adding the relevant amendment numbers under different grouping headings and using the Tools > Populate list function to update the list with the text of the chosen amendments.
In theory, the Grouping List should contain the same amendments as the Marshalled List published alongside it.
Italic notes are sometimes added to the groupings at the start of the list to indicate where some amendments pre-empt others.
Timings information can also be added to Groupings List (manually, in the Editor).
Ordering
The ordering of the amendment numbers which are listed under each group heading at the start of the list determines the order in which the amendments appear in each group.
The overall ordering of the groups is likewise determined by the order in which the group headings have been arranged at the start of the list.
Format
Group headings appear before each group, underlined, bold and left-aligned.
Otherwise the formatting of the list is the same as the Marshalled List.
