Introduction

‘Laid in draft’ rubric can be easily inserted in the correct place in the preface.

How to insert a Laid in draft rubric

  1. From the upper tool bar, select ‘Insert > Insert Front Matter Element’
  2. The system will present a dialogue box allowing you to select ‘Laid in draft’ from the Front Matter element drop down
  3. Next select the rubric that you wish to insert
  4. Click Insert when you are ready
  5. The system will insert the ‘Laid in draft’ rubric in the correct location in the document, pre-populated with the rubric option you selected

How to delete Laid in draft element

  1. Place your cursor in the Laid in draft rubric element
  2. Click on “Laid in draft rubric” from the breadcrumb and click on ‘backspace’
  3. The system will remove the Laid in draft rubric element from the document

Hints and tips

  • If a ‘Laid in draft’ rubric element already exists in the document, it will be replaced with your selected one. 
  • You can change the rubric in the element once it’s inserted if the rubric needs updating in any way
