Introduction
The option to create an Order of Consideration is only available to Parliament Users.
How to create an Order of Consideration
- From the ‘Amendment Manager’ tab, click on the Order of Consideration button
- Select the provision from the drop-down to start creating your Order of Consideration and fill in the “from” and “to” fields as required
- To add more levels, click on the button
- To remove a level, click on the button
- Click Save button when you have finished adding your Order of Consideration
Hints and tips
- It is possible to clear the Order of Consideration if you no longer require one.
- It’s only possible to add an Order of Consideration once there is a published version of the bill
- There is only one Order of Consideration saved against each bill version, but it can be updated as many times as needed.
- Updating an Order of Consideration will only affect new lists, it will not retrospectively change the sort order of existing lists, unless they were re-generated
- If there is only 1 schedule in the bill, you do not need to populate the ‘from’ and ‘to’ fields
- If you are only including one section/schedule in a level, you will need to populate both "from" and "to" fields with the same number e.g. Clause(s) 1 to 1
House of Commons Amendments
- The list of options includes 'new clauses' and 'new schedules'
Scottish Amendments
- The Order of Consideration will automatically appear on Marshalled Lists
House of Lords Amendments
- The dialogue box include a date option which will be used to pre-populate the Marshalled List when one is generated
