Sometimes you need to over-ride the automatic pagination rules applied when generating a PDF to keep certain elements or groups of elements together on a page.  Examples include tables or groups of amendments.

You can do this by inserting a page break marker at any point in their document which will cause the content of the document after the page break to appear at the start of a new page.

How to insert a page break

  1. Place cursor in the text where you want the page break to appear after

  2. Right-click and select Insert page break

How to remove a page break

  1. Place cursor in page break you want to remove

  2. Select Page Break from the breadcrumb

  3. Click on backspace to remove it

  • Page breaks should only be insertable after a paragraph of text or block object such as an image, table or formula. It shouldn't be possible to insert a page break in the middle of a run of text.

  • They can be inserted in any document including bills, SI/SSIs and amendment lists

  • It is not possible to insert a page break within a table, image or formula

  • No labels
