IMPORTANT - before you submit your amendments in Lawmaker, make sure you share your list of amendments with the Bill Office first via email in a PDF document….[add business process here]…

To submit the amendments

From the Amendment Manager tab—

  1. Select the amendments you wish to submit using the check boxes in the left-hand column

  2. Select Amendment Actions > Submit amendments

  3. A 'Confirm amendment submission' dialog box appears summarising whether the amendments can be submitted.

  4. Click on the Submit button

Amendments successfully submitted will be updated to status “Submitted”.

To table the amendments 

From the Amendment Manager tab—

  1. Select the amendments you wish to table using the check boxes in the left-hand column

  2. Select Amendment Actions > Table amendments

 Amendments successfully tabled will be updated to status “Tabled”.

  • You can only submit amendments from the Amendment Manager if—

    • the associated bill version has been published,

    • the status of all amendments is ‘Draft’,

    • there are no active locks on any amendments, and

    • no amendment has a flag set against them.

  • You will be warned if any amendments have comments or tracked changes in the amendment submission confirmation dialog box. However, you are still able to submit them. If you want to update these amendments before submitting, select ‘Cancel’.

  • You can only table amendments from the Amendment Manager if—

    • there are no active locks on any amendments, and

    • the status of all amendments is ‘Submitted’.
