Preparing a bill for introduction

This is the business process for preparing an ‘As Introduced' or 'As brought from the Commons’ bill version.

How to prepare a bill for introduction

  1. Locate the Project on the Dashboard​

  2. Find the shared version on the Significant versions side​

  3. Duplicate version

  4. Open in the Editor:​

    1. Check document check warnings

    2. Delete all J-refs

    3. Update Document Information (session, year, bill number, version rubric, printed date (brought from date), printed by and members)​

    4. Check & re-insert front & back covers/table of contents as required​

    5. Generate a PDF (select line numbering)​

  5. Send PDF for checking
