Renumbering your document
Learning points
Grouping levels, sections and schedules are not automatically renumbered when inserted out of sequence in auto-renumber mode. This is due to the way Lawmaker manages multi-drafter editing by creating locks on these provisions. To renumber these provisions you will need to trigger the renumber action.
Starting point
Instructions
Place your cursor anywhere in section 2
Click Enter on your keyboard to view the insert menu and select Section (before)
Regardless of your selected numbering mode, the new section will be inserted with a unique number without changing e.g. 1A.
Renumber your inserted section using any of the following options—
Right-click and select Renumber Provisions,
Select Tools > Renumber provisions,
Keyboard shortcut ALT+N,
Click on the renumber button in the upper tool bar
You have the option to control the scope of your renumber to—
Current provision (i.e. clause or schedule depending on the location of your cursor);
Whole document
Select Whole document and renumber all provisions within your document - section 1 to 3
Expected outcome

Locked nums will not be changed when a renumber action has been triggered.
Quoted structures are not included in a renumber unless your cursor is placed within a quoted structure when you trigger a renumber action.
The num of a starting element in a quoted structure is automatically locked to avoid any unintended consequences when inserting or renumbering provisions inside a quoted structure.
