Publishing bills (on Lawmaker & NI Assembly website)

Only complete these steps when the bill version has been checked and approved for publication
To publish on Lawmaker
From the project tab—
Find the final working version of your bill
Select Actions > Generate PDF
Ensure line numbering is selected
Name the PDF snapshot version to make it clear it is the final, approved version e.g. “Final version”
Find the PDF snapshot you just created
Select Actions >Publish version
Find the published version of the bill on the right-hand side of the Project tab
Select Actions > Download ZIP file leaving ‘resolve dates in XML’ ticked
Open your download folder with the ZIP file and extract the contents
Save the PDF in the required folder in your organisation's repository
Your bill version will now be made available on the Public Document Repository (PDR) and available over Lawmaker’s API for authorised users
To publish on NI Assembly Website
To extract the text for the website—
From the project tab—
Find the final working version of your bill
Select Actions > Generate PDF
Ensure line numbering is selected
Name the PDF snapshot version to make it clear it is the website version e.g. “version for website without line numbering”
Find the PDF snapshot you just created
Select Actions > Download ZIP file leaving ‘resolve dates in XML’ ticked
Open your download folder with the ZIP file and extract the contents
Open Word—
Select to open a document
Navigate to the download folder and select the non-line numbered PDF you just extracted
Copy the required text from the Word document
In EPiServer—
Paste the content of the bill into the appropriate place
Update the headings with the required mark-up
