LMS-2295 Improve handling of EU paragraphs in quoted structures
Summary of feature request
There are a number of relatively minor issues currently when working with EU paragraphs that collectively make it difficult to use. It would be better if:
In the quoted structure dialog box and in the insert menu (the CCA), the option to insert an EU paragraph should be listed as “Paragraph 1.” rather than just “Paragraph”. This would bring it in to line with other entries like “Paragraph (a)”.
When you insert a quoted structure that contains a EU paragraph, the number should be correctly aligned with the text in the Editor (currently it sits slightly above) and the text element after the number should be indented further to the right (same amount as a normal schedule paragraph) so there is no overlap when the number is empty. This is what it looks like presently:
When you generate a PDF including EU paragraphs, the paragraphs should be formatted more like schedule paragraphs in SIs rather than schedule paragraphs in Bills/Acts. Currently it looks like this:
The document check for number format should check that the number is in the correct form, i.e. Arabic numerals followed by a full stop (currently it is expecting the number to be in the incorrect format “(1)”, “(2)” etc.)
Paragraph numbering within within articles should restart at 1 in each Article. Currently it is continuing on from the last Article like in the following example:
